Deriv launches monthly, skill-based demo trading tournaments to accelerate trader education
Deriv, a leading global leader in online trading, expands trading education with the launch of monthly skill-based demo tournaments. The contest is designed to give beginners and experienced traders a safe way to practise in a simulated risk-free environment. Each tournament is free to enter, uses $10,000 in virtual funds, and awards real cash prizes to top performers with no deposit required.
A dedicated contest webpage (https://deriv.com/trading-competitions) hosts guides and resources to help participants build repeatable skills such as planning, risk control, and consistency before risking real capital.
“By pairing structured education with competitive practice, we’re helping traders build confidence and discipline before risking real capital,” said Prakash Bhudia, Head of Trading at Deriv. “These tournaments further our mission to democratise access to online trading, making it accessible to anyone, anywhere, and at any time.”
In its first season, the programme attracted over 670 traders from eligible countries. Leaderboards on the contest website reflect objective, skill‑based scoring and transparent rules, giving traders a clear benchmark for progress. No random draws or chance‑based selection methods are used. To receive a prize, participants must have a fully verified Deriv account. Full details, official rules, and terms are available in the contests page.
